Another Star Wars rant. Different player this time. Just as speshul.

The game is KOTOR era, which means we have Sith. Sith are ... not nice people. The game has /strict/ player-consent rules because of this. You have to agree, before the scene takes place, to being caught/imprisoned by /either/ side. If you agree to your character getting caught, you control (in broad terms) what happens to your character. If you don't want them to get badly hurt, you can say so, and it is abided by. If you don't want to rp out the interrogation/torture, you don't have to.

Keep that in mind when you click the cut.

We've been RPing together for over a year now. You'd think that would make us close, friends even. I've heard about all your personal problems, and you even attack me on AIM whenever I am on. But here are some things about you that I think are just screwed up:

- We're always on AIM when we RP, to let the other one a post has been made. Whenever you don't feel like replying to a thread, or you're heading off for the night, you just rudely sign off. You won't hurt my feelings by telling me you're not in the mood to RP with me at the time, and it sure wouldn't kill you to have some common courtesy.

-You like to abandon important, plot-twisting threads involving other players' major characters. I don't like it when my main character is abandoned in the middle of a fight scene or a love scene just so you can pick up a thread involving minor characters cooking effing RAMEN.

-If I tell you I'm not in the mood for smut, or that my smut muse is taking a break for the next hour or day, you coincidentally stop replying to the threads that you know I'm very interested in, just to be vindictive (and won't pick them up until I reply to your smut!) At least I'm considerate in telling you I'm not in the mood to RP that at the moment. No, it isn't because I don't like smutting with you or because I'm out to get you. Sometimes, you're just not inspired.

So, I've finally figured out a way to get my main character away from yours thanks to another player. You haven't responded to that thread since the beginning of MAY... MAY! Yet, somehow you get mad when I move my drow, telling me that you were "just about to post there," and that you had really been desiring to have some interaction between my main character and your side character. Sure, go ahead and lie. Do whatever you feel is a must to make yourself feel better. I can't believe you're 24 years old and this is how you act. Come the hell on.

I wish I could bitch to a mod or an admin, but either they're never around or they are friends with her.

Not a huge Death Note fan myself, but I know enough that just because L is one intelligent mutha fucka, doesn't make him MAGICAL. He can't "just know" something. Like the name of a character from character's canon that wasn't even MENTIONED even in PRIVATE entries that my character made. I can see him knowing my character's name, and the enemy of my character, as well as the partner to my character. Those names have been mentioned. What hasn't been mentioned is WHAT they are to him. L should not magically know this. YOU FAIL.

After reading the last two pages of what you guys had to say before posting, I kinda began to shake in my invisible boots. Well... My name is Randi, and I have a complaint. It might not be major, but I thought I'd share it with you guys anyway.

So, I have a problem playing certain types of personalities, I'll admit it. I do my best to avoid characters that I can't play well no matter how much I might like them, in order to not offend anyone else that shares in my fandoms and not to make myself look like a complete idiot, as I have done so many times in the past, unless it's a complete OOC crack thing - which is different.

Here's the story... I app'd for the character out of an immediate fangirl jolt saw that he wasn't taken, and at first I was happy, then I was a bit worried about it. This was an IC, Canon based RP. So I gave him up so that someone could play him better than I can, and I went with a character that I like less, but I can play better than who I originally chose. I dicussed this with a mod before doing so publicly, and she understood this and appriciated my honesty. Come to find out when the game started that I might as well have kept him to myself. *grunt*

That kind of thing irks the shit out of me. I was trying to be humble and honest with myself and my fellow players, and this person comes along - ruins the RP completely!

So. Yeah.

I'm turning into a snob.

I love the game I'm in, so much so that it's more my canon than the actual canon at the moment.

I'd like to play in other games but invariably run up against

1. Not being able to look at other people's take on characters if it doesn't mostly fit my interpretation of those characters. I swear I used to be O.K. at this. Hell, I even ignored some things I didn't like about the game I'm in when I initially joined (I admit to being a pairing snob too). What happened? What?

and

2. (In my mind) Those games just don't rule as much as the one I'm in.

So scratch that, I'm not turning into a snob, I AM a snob. I am an elitist RPing snob who hates the current canon of her fandom. Oh God what have I become?! Oh Bartleby, oh the humanity!

I would just love to say that you all suck. And no, I don't mean as in literally sucking. But if you did literally suck, I bet half of your patrons would want  their money  back.

Anyways, I would just like to inform you of these little mistakes that your little myspace rp group have been making since day one. It's one thing to have a reincarnated form of a square enix character, but to have your character look like THREE other people? I think that's stretching it, just a little bit. Oh! And we can't forget the fact that every single person in your group has their own individual eye color. I understand why suddenly biting off a newcomers head because they don't have their own eye color, so they TOTALLY stole the idea to have emerald eyes from your Zack incarnate. I totally understand this! It isn't complete and utter nonsense, I swear it!

Wait wait, we can't forget the designated dress colors! Cause if there just happened to be two people with a red or blue dress, your whole system would go out of whack. Of course we don't want that, I mean, why would we like to bend the stick that's broken?

And we just can't forget that you MUST ask your 'original' self if you could be their reincarnate. Because Yufi, for example, is a real character and if you didn't ask her if you could be her reincarnate, you totally don't have a spot in the group.

Good job you smart, generous, sweet, cultured myspace roleplayers. Not even a direct bullet to the brain could dull the migraine I get from reading your shit-tastic rules. Thank you. Thank you so much.

Ok, you're friends came back but they've picked new characters after realizing the horrible annoyances they caused.  How nice of them.  I am playing Walter Sullivan..he's from SH4 not SH3...you're thinking of Stanley Coleman..a different character entirley.  Walter dosen't think you're pretty outside of Pyramid Head form, he's not scared of your PH form either.  Wanna know why? 

Walter lives on the other side of a mirror! surely you read that in his character summary since you stalk all of my characters.. he's pretty much inactive at the moment because of this and only chirps in when the people he took with him start talking to him..so when he starts banging on the mirror to attempt to get out and kill you so you can go back with him to his side of silent hill he's not making a cry for help.  STOP TRYING TO USE YOUR AMAZING PH RAINBOW HEALING POWERS TO GET HIM OUT AND "SAVE" HIM!!! (sorry for loud)...you can't save him..the people on the other side of the mirror with him are not his friends as has been explained to you OOC but his sacrements (this game takes place prehenry with a few mod written things added to it.) that he intends to use to bring his mother back blah blah blah...  

also, when we crack, walter has a spoon sticking out of his neck because he killed himself with a spoon to the neck...stop trying to heal him..first of all PH isin't a benevolent being..second it's funny shut up.

I'll keep this brief, because if I don't, I'll rant.


But fortunately, it was turned into an interesting plot thanks to the work of other rpers. That is the saving grace that keeps me from headdesking myself into a coma. For the rest of you who saved this mess, I love you, you rock.

You know, I'm getting really sick of you and the way you handle the roleplay. You don't take into account what the players want because omg this is ur rp stfu. Can I remind you that you didn't come up with the original concept? Can I also remind you that our old mods listened to what the players wanted, and ran the rp accordingly?

There's a balance, dearest. Serious business (eg, death, explsions) will eventually get boring for the players, and the characters will get used to such events. Hell, half of them aleady shrug off murder all ready because everyone comes back anyway, they learn.

Crack events give the players a break, and I for one miss all of our silly little events once a month. I'm not asking you to change our setting to Happy Happy Rainbow Land, but...

Please, mod. Learn the srs biznez/crack balance? It's making me wish our older, fair mods would come back.

The only reason I'm sticking around? I actually love everyone there. They're what makes the game for me now, and quite frankly- I dread any of your modly input now. This latest thing? It didn't even make sense.

But wow. Ain't I a drama llama and a half?

Hey, here's an idea- why don't you actually reply to logs so we can acutally get things done and progress our characters' relationship? It's getting really dull starting logs that are basically the same then not finishing them.

Oh, and hey- here's another one. How about you also stop copying ideas from my characters for your own so they're both basically the same? It's just going to get old for both of them fast.
